Internship Program

We'd love to be part of your educational experience!

The Holistic Heart has been fortunate to be a master's-level counseling internship site for several students over the years, and we love to work with passionate, open-minded, holistically-oriented individuals on their journey to becoming a professional therapist.

We offer our interns a supportive professional environment that includes:

  • A modern, progressive, and informed company culture and clinical approach
  • Weekly supervision with an experienced licensed supervisor
  • Monthly mentoring session with an experienced licensed therapist
  • Monthly group supervision with the team
  • Paid direct hours ($18/direct hour)
  • The opportunity to work with a variety of populations and presentations appropriate for an outpatient setting
  • Modeling, guidance, and peer-to-peer learning for ways to effectively incorporate holistic approaches in a mental health setting
  • Supportive administration, clinical staff, and office space (including our therapy bunny, Benson!)
  • Opportunities to observe and participate in groups, workshops, trainings, and team social events
  • Blue Cross LGBTQ+ Safe Zone certified location

What Our Interns Have to Say

"As a holistic counseling student intern at The Holistic Heart my experience was incredibly fulfilling. I felt like a valuable member of the team and was supported every step of the way. I gained clarity on my unique counselor identity, honed my therapeutic skills, had the opportunity to facilitate groups, and developed a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit in the healing process. I will look back on this experience fondly, and with gratitude."
