Approach to treatment

Kayleah takes a conscientious, innovative approach to treatment with a focus on the mind-body connection and embraces everyone as a whole being. Her background is rooted in the expressive arts, specializing in dance/movement therapy. She is passionate about fostering creative expression to improve well-being and promote self-understanding. Kayleah will work with you through collaboration to create a safe and culturally affirming therapeutic space for you to feel comfortable expressing emotions and feelings, process challenging experiences, address personal needs and goals, and access self-compassion.

As an embodied practitioner, Kayleah values awareness of the individual's somatic, cultural, sensory, and social-emotional needs and how that can connect to further socio-emotional and therapeutic engagement. She uses the strengths and resiliency of each person and believes that each individual is an agent of change.

Kayleah obtained her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Specialization in Dance/Movement Therapy at Lesley University in May of 2023. She is also a soon to be Registered Dance/Movement Therapist through the American Dance Therapy Association.
