Approach to treatment

Erika approaches counseling as a person-centered, holistic, integrative, and collaborative process. Empathic support and reflection will be offered to help empower and guide you on your life journey. Erika will work together with you toward a happier, healthier, more balanced and fulfilled life and aims to provide insight and tools for self-exploration to support your own natural capacity for healing, growth, and wholeness.  Together you’ll build a welcoming and accepting therapeutic space where you can feel safe to express your emotions and process challenges.  All aspects of the human condition are honored as experiences to learn and grow from. We are not alone in our journey to wellness.  With support, tools, mindset shifts, motivation, and personal growth work we can live more expansive, authentic, expressive, and embodied lives.

Erika is currently completing Internship to obtain her Master’s in Holistic Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Expressive and Creative Arts for Transformation at Salve Regina University with an expected graduation date of May 2022. Erika completed her 200-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher certification in 2011 and 500-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher certification in 2018. She also holds certifications in Restorative, Prenatal, and Buti Yoga styles. Additionally, Erika became a certified practitioner of Reiki I and II in 2011 and Reflexology (Certified Reflexology Therapist) in 2015. Erika draws on her experiences and training in these complementary healing and wellness modalities as appropriate.
