A no-pressure opportunity to hang out with other ND community members and connect around a shared interest - enjoying the great outdoors! We will bring some backyard games (i.e., cornhole, Giant Jenga, Ladderball, ring toss, etc.), however the park has a beach, paved path and plenty of space to throw down a picnic blanket (for lounging, snacking, reading, etc.)! Participate to the degree that you feel comfortable in whatever activity suits you. For those that wish to play yard games, once we see what our options are, we’ll take a vote and decide on what to play together. For those that want to walk, bike, rest, swim, etc. you may do so as a solo-activity or link up with any others in the group that wish to join you!

Please Note: Due to the park’s robust event calendar, there is no rain date for this event. If temperature and/or weather conditions are not conducive to being outdoors, we will cancel this event. You will be notified via email if this change occurs.

WHAT TO EXPECT: 

• this event will take place outside at Rocky Point State Park to take advantage of the summer weather! please dress accordingly, and perhaps opt for layers if you’re someone who gets warm/cool while you are outside
• this is a low-structure, casual hang out event. the plan is to see what our game and activity options are once everyone arrives, see who wants to do what, and go from there!
• you are welcome to bring any backyard games, fidgets, blankets/chairs, comfort items, drink, snack, activity-related (ie: swim suit, bicycle, book, etc.), or picnic items you wish, being mindful of the “leave no trace”/”carry in, carry out” policy regarding debris/litter in the park
• please refrain from wearing fragrances for the comfort of all attending
• admission and parking are free

Parking & Meeting Location:

Rocky Point State Park has two free parking areas. To make finding us easier, please park in the main parking lot located inside the park (marked with the red circle on the map below).

We will meet at 6:30pm at the main parking lot near the portable restrooms (marked with the red “X” on the map below). Look for Erika and Madison with their Holistic Heart shirts!

After everyone arrives, we’ll head together to the nearby grassy field area, where we’ll have picnic blankets and yard games set up.

There is also a smaller secondary parking lot located outside of the park, but we recommend using the main lot so you can easily find the meeting location.

If you arrive after 6:40pm, just look for the Holistic Heart shirts and picnic blankets in the main grassy area once you arrive!
