Finding out you’re autistic as an adult - whether through formal diagnosis or a slow-burning realization - can be both a huge relief and a total identity-shaker. This 60-minute informational talk is for late-diagnosed or self-identified autistic adults navigating the often messy, sometimes lonely, but deeply meaningful aftermath of that discovery.
We’ll unpack common post-realization experiences like recognizing sensory needs, burnout, unmasking, identity shifts, and the tension that can arise when exploring your neurotype creates change in relationship dynamics, or people you love feel attached to a version of you that *they’re* used to.
Come because you’re curious, stay for the “*that’s SO me*” moments. We’re not solving everything in an hour - but you’ll walk away with some clarity, language, and hopefully a little more self-trust to help you start living in alignment with how your brain and body actually work.
Neurodivergent Need-to-Knows (because context and knowing what to expect is a love language 😂):
- This is a **one-hour info-dump session** led by Kristen (a fellow late-realized AuDHDer and therapist), followed by an **optional Q&A** *via chat.*
- **No breakout rooms. No cameras. No mics.** Just you, your comfy clothes, and maybe a snack. The entire session will take place in “speaker view,” so Kristen is the only person who will be visible on-screen.
- You are absolutely welcome to stim, fidget, pace, or lurk in silence and just take it all in. There is no expectation/requirement of interaction, though you are certainly invited to ask questions if you have them.
- The session will be recorded, and replays *may* be available for purchase (we’re still figuring that out!), but the live event is FREE, so come live if you can!
